Effortlessness

It seems to me that the best way to live is effortlessly. Look at us, how much we strain and stress at living, while look at the grass, how effortlessly it shoots forth from the ground. Or the flower, it strains not to bloom from bud to blossom. Least of all we should put no effort into our spiritual quest. Without effort, with only the strength of pure intention, our illusions will vanish, our ignorance will turn into insight, and just like the blooming of a flower, the flower of our soul will emerge, effortlessly, unravelling its luminous petals.

Effort belongs to the realm of the mind, how can a mind that wrestles with itself uncover the soul. The soul is beyond mind. The soul can be realised only when the mind is put away, without effort, like one would calmly put away winter clothes when spring has arrived :) We do not fight off the clothes, do we?

In our quest only intention is needed, pure unwavering intention. And stillness. In silence, in the absence of the mind, the supreme soul reveals itself. It has no other choice :)))

  1. The way of effortless living is a paradox of life. The only effort we need to make is the effort to relax. We labor to enter into rest. We strive to let go and relax. The only tension we need to maintain is the least amount necessary to release energy for action. Usually it is the slightest amount we need in order to move effectively. I liked your thoughts here very much.Cannot agree more
