True emergence

Usually when we feel love towards another and give expression to the feeling of love, our attention is usually focused on the other person. But if you will turn your attention on yourself, you will find a few interesting things. You will find that you are experiencing a feeling on expansion. Of being out of your usual limited self and beyond the constraints that you have set for yourself. You will find yourself experiencing greater freedom, more aliveness, great joy and immense lightness. Why is this so?

What is love but our natural state? Beneath our layers of personality, our fears, our socially conditioned masks, our protective barriers, what are we but pure loving beings? When you are in the presence of someone with whom you can shed all these extraneous burdensome stuff, then love cannot help but emerge. In that state, in our expression of our feelings to the other we say ‘I love you’ but if you quietly remove the ‘I’ and the ‘you’, only love remains and that is pretty much the true state of things.
