A prayer

to roam the sky and steal the stars
on my heart to emblazon
the full sun
let the light shine out bright
through a heart broken
fill my soul with effulgence
become radiance

This is written in the 7-line stanza as devised by Paul Laurence Dunbar, who used it in his poem  Melancholia.
